It seems to us that decorating the bathroom means so many different things to many people. For some it is a necessity, a room to clean ourselves and look after daily human requirements. For others, it is a sanctuary, a place where we can escape the chaos of outside, move a little deeper into the bubbles and into complete tranquility. However you view the purpose of a bathroom, none of us can deny that a spa like experience would be at the top of our wish list. Sure you could be decorating the bathroom completely from scratch if you had thousands to spare, but why not save time and money by making a few small changes that could completely transform your bathroom.
shower head & fixtures
A good start to begin decorating the bathroom is by replacing older and smaller shower heads to a larger one. This will ensure that your body is completely enveloped in a waterfall of water and will also give the illusion of a grand luxurious bathroom. We also recommend updating your fixtures to a finish of a warm metal, nothing too bright like a brass gold, but rather a darker more elegant finish such as an antique bronze.

towels
This may seem like an obvious one when it comes to decorating the bathroom, but investing in good quality towels every few years does make a serious difference. The appearance of fluffy towels hanging neatly on the towel rail or spares folded up on a shelf, is the quickest and cheapest way to amp up spa vibes in your bathroom.
Below are our recommendations for fairtrade, organic towels…. We recommend these based on research for the best quality and ethics not commission.

candles
Have always been a great and simple way to decorating the bathroom but they are a controversial, whilst the light emitted definitely contributes to rich ambience they are often very toxic. Our general rule is that a soy or beeswax candle, with no scent and an organic cotton wick, burning for short periods of time is absolutely fine. So a soak in the tub is the perfect opportunity to light up.
